'SmoothLine started with a humble vision: to share genuine Neapolitan pizza with London. Launched by the Taylor family in 1985, this pizzeria began as a quaint, family-managed shop with generations-old recipes.
Emily Taylor, our pioneer, mastered the pizza craft on her Italian sojourns, training with esteemed pizzaiolos in Naples—the cradle of pizza. After returning to the UK, she sought to replicate the essence of true Italian pizza, adhering to age-old practices and selecting premium components.
What originated as a cozy 12-seat eatery has flourished into a cherished neighborhood haven, yet our dedication to craftsmanship and genuine flavor remains steadfast. We continue to employ wood-burning ovens, create our dough from scratch every day, and carefully source the best ingredients available.
Today, 'SmoothLine' is still in the hands of its founding family, with the Taylors' next generation at the helm of our zealous crew. While we've adopted some contemporary enhancements, the essence of our enterprise stands unchanged: to forge delectable, genuine pizza that unites people.
